We decided to play it "safe" this year after our experiences in Cape Town in 2012 so we are returning to Hong Kong and Dubai. We first visited Hong Kong back in the summer of 2009 (we've a blog for that trip) and Dubai only last year. We loved both places so much we are returning.
The last time we visited Hong Kong we stayed on Kowloon Island in a Citadines Apart'hotel, this time we are staying on Hong Kong Island, in the central district (shown below) and in an AirBnB apartment. In Dubai we are returning the same Crowne Plaza which we stayed in last time due to its amazing location, friendly staff and amazing facilities.
We leave Dublin at 13:50 and arrive around midnight local in Dubai before connecting with our second flight to Hong Kong. In total over next day we will be in the air for 16 hours.
